What is the US government doing to help people in Haiti? Nothing that I know about. Some one correct me if I am wrong! How hard could it be to provide some fresh food and clean water to these people and help them to get their nation back to a reasonable state of living? It is a real shame how Americans will ignore problems when it is no longer a hot news topic and the TV cameras have left the scene. But the problems in Haiti persist.
How great does the US look in the eyes of the world when we just spend time staring at our political belly button and fight wars with a built-in decision to lose? How much money do we waste on boon-doggle projects, pork barrel spending, military paranoia, and giveaways to corrupt governments and dictators while we ignore real problems both humanitarian and military. If we can't solve humanitarian problems such as the situation in Haiti, how could we ever hope to solve the real problems of Afghanistan, Iran, and North Korea? How long can we expect our military people to put up with the political correctness, lack of decision, and dumb decisions when decisions are made?
Congress now spends most of its time fighting each other over politics and dumb programs such as the crazy Health Care Law. Congress, how about getting together and deciding what the real problems are and working together to solve them?
